My name is Fariba Mousavi. I was born in to family of artists, and art has always been a significant part of my life. I truly discovered my love and passion for the art at the age of 13.
In college, I pursued a math degree and recieved a bachelor in statistic. I began my professional career by teaching mathematics, as well as painting on the side. There was then a gap in my art life, where I got married, had two beautiful girls, immigrated overseas to Canada and eventually the United States.
In 2007, after my hiatus from art, I decided to attend college to pursue a degree in art. At that time, I immersed myself in all medias, including sculpting, pottery, acrylic, and mix media.
Today, I continue to pursue all these forms of art, but I believe the majority of my strength lies in painting. As an artist, I am always inspired by my surroundings and enjoy combining realism with contemporary styles.
I do not limit my work to any specific style, medium or subject.
I am grateful for the opportunity to work towards what I love.
